Advice from our agronomist
When to sow Sow in spring once the soil has warmed up, or from late August to early September, 1 cm deep. Rate: 1 kg covers about 50 m² (20 g/m²). Seeds germinate in about 3 weeks.
Sowing Level and rake the surface and remove weeds. Scatter the seed evenly, rake it in lightly and firm down. The mix suits shaded places where an ordinary lawn thins out.
Care Water regularly during germination (about 3 weeks) so the seedlings do not dry out. Mow for the first time at 8–10 cm, later keep it at 4–6 cm.
Feeding and harvest Feed in spring and midsummer with a lawn fertiliser. Spring frosts do no harm, but the lawn does not tolerate shade well.
