Iron sulphate 3 kg
Seller: ALLIKASILM
About this product
Iron sulphate (ferrous sulphate, FeSO₄) comes as greenish crystals that do two different jobs in the garden, each with a solution of a different strength.
The first job is killing moss in the lawn: the iron scorches the moss black, after which it can be raked out. The second is treating trunks and bark in early spring and late autumn against lichens, mosses and fungal diseases. Iron sulphate is also a source of iron for plants whose young leaves have turned yellow, a common sign of iron deficiency on lime-rich soil.
The pack contains 3 kg. Caution: iron sulphate leaves rust stains on stone and paving, so wear gloves and follow the instructions.

Advice from our agronomist
Rake the moss out as well. Iron kills moss but does not remove it: rake the blackened moss off, or it blocks new grass.
Look for the cause. Moss appears where the lawn is weak — shade, compaction, acidity or lack of feeding. Without fixing that it returns next year.
Keep it off stone. The solution leaves rust-brown stains on concrete, paving and setts that do not wash out. Cover them before spraying.
