Copper sulphate 300 g
Seller: ALLIKASILM
About this product
Copper sulphate (blue vitriol, CuSO₄) comes as blue crystals and is the oldest and best-known fungal disease control in the garden. As a solution it is used mainly in early spring before bud burst and in late autumn after leaf fall, when the tree has no leaves to damage.
Copper stops fungal spores germinating on the bark and the soil surface, where scab, brown rot, blight and leaf curl all start. The same solution is used for cleaning the greenhouse at the end of the season and for disinfecting wounds on trees.
The pack contains 300 g. Caution: wear protective gloves and follow the instructions on the pack.

Advice from our agronomist
Only during dormancy. Copper solution is not for a tree in leaf — it scorches foliage. The time is before bud break or after leaf fall.
Pick a dry, still day. Rain washes the solution off and the work has to be repeated; wind carries the spray onto the next bed.
Do not mix in metal. Prepare the solution in a plastic or glass container: metal reacts with it and the product loses its effect.
