Advice from our agronomist
When to sow Sow the seeds for seedlings in March–April on the soil surface (they need light), covered with only a thin layer of soil and keep at 20–22 °C. Seeds germinate in 1–2 weeks.
Planting out Plant the seedlings out in May, 30–40 cm apart. Choose a sunny or semi-shaded spot.
Care Water moderately, more in dry spells, and keep the bed weed-free. The seeds are very small – do not cover them with soil, just press them lightly.
Feeding and flowering Feed 1–2 times with a flowering-plant fertiliser and remove faded flowers – this prolongs flowering. Flowers in June–September; height 70 cm.
