About this product
Potatoes are potassium-hungry: potassium determines how many tubers they'll produce, how they'll store, and whether they'll fall apart when cooked. General-purpose fertilizers give potatoes too much nitrogen and too little potassium, resulting in lush tops and disappointing soil.
This fertilizer is formulated specifically for potatoes: the ratio of elements is shifted to where they need it. Strong tops resist late blight better.
Five kilograms is the measure of a real potato patch, not a couple of furrows.

Advice from our agronomist
Feed at planting: put the granules in the furrow and mix them with soil, the seed tuber must not touch them.
A second dose can go on at earthing up — that coincides with the start of tuber formation, when potassium demand peaks.
Do not give potatoes fresh manure: it encourages scab and pushes leafy growth.
In a dry summer, watering during flowering matters more than extra feed: that is when the tubers set.
Do not feed after flowering ends — late nitrogen spoils storage quality.
