Advice from our agronomist
When to sow Sow from April directly in the bed, or later until the end of summer. Sowing rate: 100–120 g/100 m² as an ornamental and honey plant, 150 g/100 m² for green mass.
Sowing Scatter the seed evenly, rake it in lightly (1–2 cm) and roll. It grows on any soil and prefers sun.
Care Water in dry spells, especially during germination. The plant is undemanding and grows fast.
Use Dig in or mow the green mass before the seeds ripen, ideally while flowering – the soil becomes looser and weeds are suppressed. Honey yield up to 300 kg/ha.
