About this product
Pansy “Coronation Gold” (Viola × wittrockiana) is a garden pansy, or Wittrock’s violet, whose name points to golden-yellow flowers. It is a biennial that blooms in early spring and late autumn, when few other flowers are about.
Sown in July, plants start flowering in September, continue until the frosts and bloom a second time the following spring. Pansies suit pots, balcony boxes and cemetery plantings, and the flowers can be cut for small posies. The seed germinates in darkness at +16 °C in 14-18 days.
The pack contains 0.3 g of seed, made by Žalia stotelė.

Advice from our agronomist
Sow in July and cover. Sow in a tray or seedbed, cover with soil and lay a dark cover on top, as pansies germinate in darkness. Keep the soil moist and the spot cool, around +16 °C.
Transplant in August. Space plants 15-20 cm apart. Plants rooted by autumn flower until the frosts and overwinter well if the bed is lightly covered in late autumn.
Remove spent flowers. Deadheading stops seed from forming and prolongs flowering in both autumn and spring.
