Advice from our agronomist
Sowing Sow the seeds from March to April in trays or in a greenhouse lightly covered with soil (0.5 cm). Keep the temperature at 18–22 °C; seedlings emerge in 10–21 days. Prick out at 2–3 true leaves and plant out in May–June, 40–50 cm apart.
Care Keep the soil lightly moist and avoid waterlogging. Water in dry spells; it spreads by rhizomes, so restrict it if needed.
Use Suits borders and dried bouquets; orange lantern-like calyces in autumn.
