Advice from our agronomist
When to sow Sow the seeds for seedlings in March–April 0.5 cm deep and keep at 18–20 °C. Seeds germinate in 1–2 weeks.
Planting out Plant the seedlings out in mid-May, 20–25 cm apart. Choose a sunny spot.
Care Water moderately, more in dry spells, and keep the bed weed-free. The seeds need darkness to germinate – cover them lightly with soil.
Feeding and flowering Feed 1–2 times with a flowering-plant fertiliser and remove faded flowers – this prolongs flowering. Flowers in June–September; height 45 cm.
