Radish Runder Schwarzer Winter is a mid-early variety; ready 68–75 days after emergence; the roots are black and round, weighing 250–400 g, with white, juicy and spicy flesh; it keeps wonderfully all winter.
Grated radish suits salads, snacks and as a side to meat dishes; juicy with a mild bite.

Advice from our agronomist
When to sow. Sow directly in the bed in late June – early July for winter storage (spring sowing bolts easily), 1–2 cm deep, rows 30 cm apart.
Sowing. Thin plants to 10–15 cm apart. Choose a sunny spot with light, fertile soil; do not use fresh manure.
Care. Water evenly – drought makes roots bitter and cracked. Cover with fleece against flea beetles.
Feeding and harvest. Feed with a potassium-rich fertiliser. Harvest roots in September – October before frost; store at 0–2 °C in damp sand.
