Advice from our agronomist
When to sow Sow directly in the bed from April to May and again from August to early September, 2 cm deep, rows 20–25 cm apart. Seeds germinate in 1–2 weeks.
Sowing Spinach prefers a cool, moist spot. Thin the plants to 5–8 cm apart.
Care Water regularly; the soil should stay moist. In heat and long days spinach tends to bolt, so sow early or in autumn.
Feeding and harvest Feed once with nitrogen. Harvest about 4–6 weeks after sowing, cutting the outer leaves or the whole rosette; use fresh.
