Advice from our agronomist
When to sow Sow the seeds for seedlings from late February to March on the soil surface, covered with only a thin layer of soil, and keep at 20–25 °C. Seeds germinate in 2–4 weeks.
Planting out Plant the seedlings out in their permanent place in late May, after the frosts, 1–1.5 m apart. Choose a sunny, well-drained spot; the branches need support.
Care Water moderately; it does not tolerate standing water. In spring remove dry and surplus branches; cover young plants in their first winter.
Feeding and harvest Feed with compost in spring. Expect the first berries in the 2nd–3rd year; pick them from August to October once they turn red.
