Composted horse manure B&S, 10 L
Seller: ALLIKASILM
About this product
Composted horse manure is a ready-to-use soil improver: the manure is fully rotted, weed seeds and sharp ammonia are gone, and what remains is a soft, nutrient-rich compost. It does not burn roots the way fresh manure does.
It supplies nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and trace elements, but the main gain is structure: the soil holds moisture better and soil life is fed. Sandy soil starts to retain water; heavy clay becomes looser.
Suitable for vegetables, flowers, berry bushes, fruit trees and new plantings. 10 l pack by Biohumus & Soil.

Advice from our agronomist
How to apply. Manure is mixed into the soil, not placed against the roots. In a bed, spread 3–5 litres per square metre and work it into the top 10–15 cm. In a planting hole use 1–2 litres mixed with the excavated soil.
When. Spring before planting and autumn after harvest are best — over winter the compost merges with the soil. In summer use it as a top dressing: spread between plants and water in.
Who likes it most. Roses, fruit trees, berry bushes, squashes and brassicas. Not for rhododendrons, blueberries and other acid-lovers — they want peat and conifer bark.
What to avoid. Do not lay it thickly under seeds or against a young plant's root collar. And remember it works slowly: for a plant that is starving right now, use a mineral fertiliser instead.
