Honesty, 2 g, Žalia stotelė

About this product
Honesty (Lunaria annua) — a biennial grown for two kinds of beauty. In spring it bears fragrant purple, pink and white flowers; by autumn they turn into pearly round seed pods that glow like the moon.
Those silvery «moons» are a dried-flower classic: stems are cut in autumn and last in a vase for years. In flower honesty draws bees and butterflies, suits borders and wild gardens, and needs no winter protection.
Pack of 2 g. Made by Žalia stotelė.

Advice from our agronomist
Sow where it is to flower. Sow direct in May-June; the first year makes a rosette of leaves, flowers follow next spring.
Let some seed fall. Allow a few plants to self-seed and honesty returns every year, staying in the garden for good.
Cut for drying. Cut stems when the pods turn brown and peel off the outer skins gently — the silvery partition remains.
