About this product
Wrinkled pea «Maxigolt» (Pisum sativum) — a late, very high-yielding shelling pea. Plants reach 70-80 cm, pods are about 9 cm long and hold 7-8 large, tasty peas.
Its special trait is sweetness that lasts longer than in most varieties, even as the pods mature. So there is no rush to pick: the peas stay sweet a couple of days later.

Advice from our agronomist
Sow early. Peas like it cool: sow in late April or early May as soon as the soil has dried. Seedlings survive light frosts.
Give support. A tall variety needs netting or twiggy sticks to climb — pods lying on the ground rot and are hard to pick.
Rotate. Do not sow peas in the same place for 4-5 years: pea diseases build up in the soil. Peas leave nitrogen behind for the next crop.
