About this product
Immortality is a pure white ruffled bearded iris with a white beard and a light sweet scent.
A white iris is versatile in the border: it goes with any colour. Height 76 cm, lower than most tall bearded irises, so it does not need the back row. It is one of the most reliable rebloomers of all: the AIS 2022 reblooming list has reports from many US states, several Canadian provinces and European countries.

Advice from our agronomist
The top of the rhizome must stay exposed. This is the key rule for bearded iris: set the rhizome at soil level with its back visible. A buried rhizome will not flower and starts to rot.
Spread the roots downwards. Firm the soil around them and water in.
Full sun. In shade there will be no flowers, and disease takes hold.
Drainage is essential. Standing water means bacterial rhizome rot. On heavy clay, plant in a raised bed.
Keep the rhizome's back clear over the years. Mulch and soil washed over it act as extra depth, and flowering fades away.
Divide every 3–5 years, in July or August. A congested clump stops flowering.
