Seller: ALLIKASILM
About this product
Sorbet is recognisable by one thing: the flower is three-layered, with light pink, light yellow and creamy white layers stacked on top of each other, hence the name.
The flower is pastel and about 13 cm across, blooming mid-season: late spring and early summer. The shrub grows 91 cm tall and 76 cm wide. Hardy in Estonia without cover and with a margin (USDA 3–8).

Advice from our agronomist
Plant the eyes 2.5–5 cm below soil level. For a herbaceous peony this rule is stricter than for an Itoh: deeper means foliage without flowers. In a cold spot up to 5 cm is acceptable, no more.
Do not mulch over the crown. Mulch gives the same result as planting too deep.
At least 6 hours of sun. In shade a peony will not flower.
Go easy on nitrogen. Rich feeding gives foliage without blooms.
Cut the foliage to the ground only after it browns. In autumn, not before — green leaves are still feeding the root.
Do not expect full flowering in the first year.
