About this product
Carrot «Nantes 3» (Daucus carota) — a medium-early Nantes-type carrot, the classic others are measured against. Roots are 16-20 cm, smooth, blunt-tipped with a thin core — which is what makes the carrot sweet and juicy.
It takes 110-115 days. It is good eaten fresh and stores well through winter. The large 100 g pack is meant for long rows and bigger beds.

Advice from our agronomist
Sow in loose soil. In heavy soil germination is poor and roots come out short, forked and split. Dig the bed deeply and do not use fresh manure.
Keep moist until emergence. The seed is slow, 2-3 weeks; the surface must not dry out meanwhile.
Thin in time. At 2-3 leaves thin to 3-5 cm apart — in a crowded row roots stay thin.
