Use. Designed for loosening compacted soil, moving compost and manure and prising out weed roots.
How to use. Push the tines into the soil with your foot, lean the shaft back and lift. When lifting root crops, insert the fork a little away from the plant so the tubers are not damaged.
Care and storage. Clean the tines after use, let them dry and store in a dry place. Lightly oil the metal parts before winter.
Gardener’s tip. Loosening with a fork preserves soil structure and earthworm channels better than turning the soil with a spade.
