Agronoma ieteikumi
Planting. Plant in spring or early autumn in part shade or sun in moist, well-drained soil, about 30 cm apart.
Watering and feeding. Water while establishing and in drought. Add a little compost in spring — columbines do not need rich soil.
Care. Cut off flower stems after flowering if you do not want self-seeding. Columbines are short-lived but renew themselves by self-seeding; seedlings may flower in other colours.
Winter. Hardy, needs no protection.
