Advice from our agronomist
Planting Plant in spring or autumn in a sunny spot with well-drained soil; wet soil is unsuitable. Space plants 30–50 cm apart (up to 60 cm for tall cultivars).
Watering Water in the first year; later the plant is drought tolerant.
Pruning After flowering shear the plant back by about a third to keep the mat dense and encourage new growth.
Feeding and winter care No feeding is needed; too much food makes the plant floppy. Hardy; no cover is needed.
