Spaghetti squash Baby Spaghetti H is an early variety; the fruit is yellow and egg-shaped, weighing 400–600 g; the flesh is yellow, nutty and fibrous and keeps well – almost all winter.
Baked or boiled flesh separates into spaghetti-like strands; serve with sauce, cheese or herbs.

Advice from our agronomist
When to sow. Sow seeds for seedlings in mid-April in 8–10 cm pots at 3–4 cm depth and 20–25 °C; sow directly outdoors in late May – early June, once the soil has warmed to at least 12–15 °C.
Planting. Plant out seedlings with 3–4 true leaves in late May – early June in a sunny spot with rich soil; spacing 70 × 70 cm. Cover plants with fleece if frost threatens.
Care. Water with warm water at the roots, keeping the leaves dry; mulch the soil and remove old leaves that shade the fruits. In cool weather, help the flowers with hand pollination.
Feeding and harvest. Feed every 2–3 weeks with a complete or potassium-rich fertiliser. Let the fruits ripen fully and harvest them before the first frosts, when the skin is hard and the stalk dry; store in a cool dry place – the fruits keep for a long time.
