Seller: ALLIKASILM
About this product
Tomato “Beefsteak” (Solanum lycopersicum) is a mid-early, tall beefsteak variety bearing red fruits of 300–400 g. They are sweet and full of flavour, firm when sliced, and equally good in salads and for preserving.
Sow indoors in March–April and grow the plants under glass at 90 × 40 cm. The crop ripens in July–August. As an indeterminate type it needs a sturdy support and regular removal of side shoots.
The pack contains 0.1 g of seed (about 20–30 seeds), made by Organic Way.

Advice from our agronomist
Sow in the second half of March. Cover the seed with about 1 cm of compost and keep at +22–25 °C. Prick the seedlings out into individual pots at the first true leaf.
Plant into the greenhouse in May. Allow 40 cm between plants and 90 cm between rows. Tie each plant to a string or cane and pinch out side shoots weekly.
Water evenly. Large fruits split easily when moisture swings, so water at the base in the morning. Stop the leading shoot at the end of July so the last fruits can ripen in August.
