About this product
Tomato “Brooklyn F1” (Solanum lycopersicum) is a mid-early, high-yielding greenhouse hybrid with a strong root system, growing up to 1.5 m tall. Its bright red, fleshy fruits weigh 150-170 g, taste excellent and do not crack.
Sow for transplants in March-April; the crop ripens in July-August. Plants cope well with temperature swings and are resistant to Verticillium, Fusarium, leaf mould and mosaic virus. The fruits are good fresh and for preserving.

Advice from our agronomist
Grow sturdy transplants. In March-April sow in the warm and prick out into individual pots at the two-true-leaf stage. Plant into the greenhouse 90 x 40 cm apart once the soil has warmed.
Train as a single cordon. Tie the plant to a string or cane and remove side shoots every week. In late summer pinch out the top so that the last trusses have time to ripen.
Ventilate the greenhouse. Although this hybrid tolerates temperature swings, keep the air moving and water at the base in the mornings. That keeps foliage dry and fruit healthy.
