Brunnera macrophylla "Looking Glass", 12 cm pods
Pārdevējs: ALLIKASILM
Par preci
Siberian bugloss "Looking Glass" (Brunnera macrophylla) is a shade-loving perennial with large heart-shaped leaves that are almost entirely silver. In spring tiny sky-blue, forget-me-not-like flowers rise above the foliage.
It grows 20–40 cm tall and 30–40 cm wide, forming a dense clump. It flowers from April to May, and the decorative silver leaves last all summer. The cultivar is very hardy (USDA zone 3) and well suited to the Estonian climate. Supplied in a 12 cm pot.
Ideal for brightening shady borders, areas under trees and woodland gardens — the silver leaves glow in partial shade. A good companion for ferns, astilbes, hardy geraniums and epimediums; for ground cover plant 7–10 per square metre.

Agronoma ieteikumi
Planting. Plant in spring or early autumn in partial shade and humus-rich soil, 7–10 plants per square metre. Plant at the same depth as in the pot and water well.
Watering and feeding. Brunnera needs evenly moist soil — water regularly in dry summers or the leaves scorch. Add compost or a slow-release fertiliser in spring.
Care. Cut off the flower stems after flowering so the plant puts its energy into the leaves. Mulch keeps the soil moist; remove old leaves in spring.
Winter. A very hardy perennial needing no protection in Estonia. Dead leaves can be left over winter to protect the roots and cleared in spring.
