Advice from our agronomist
Light Bright, diffused light; strong midday sun can scorch the leaves.
Care Keep the soil evenly moist but never soggy; use soft, room-temperature water. Room temperature of 16–24 °C; protect from draughts and cold. In winter the plant goes dormant and the leaves die back – water very little and resume in spring. Prefers warmth, at least 18 °C.
Use A colourful foliage plant for a summer windowsill or warm veranda; all parts are poisonous to pets and children.
