Light and position Keep in bright, indirect light, out of direct sun, which scorches the leaves and fades the pattern. Avoid cold windowsills and draughts.

Watering Water when the top 2–3 cm of soil is dry; keep it evenly moist but not soggy. Use warm, soft water (rain, filtered or settled).

Humidity and care Enjoys high air humidity (above 60 %): mist the leaves or stand the pot on damp pebbles. Dry air and hard water make the leaf edges crisp.

Feeding and repotting Feed during the growing season (spring to autumn) every 2–4 weeks with a foliage-plant fertiliser at half strength; not in winter. Repot in spring when roots fill the pot.
