Chamaecyparis pisifera "Filifera Nana" +/-1.5 m

About this product
Sawara cypress Chamaecyparis pisifera Filifera Nana is a slow-growing dwarf cultivar whose thread-like, drooping green shoots form a dense, rounded, soft-textured mound. A good pick if you want to buy a Filifera Nana cypress for a decorative evergreen accent.
It works in rock gardens, containers, terraces and beside pale gravel or grasses. Give it sun or light shade, evenly moist but not wet soil and shelter from drying winter winds; in Estonia a protected spot suits it best. Plant sold at about 1.5 m tall.

Advice from our agronomist
Planting Plant in spring or autumn (container plants can go in all season) in sun to light shade, in well-drained soil. Keep the root collar level with the ground and do not plant too deep.
Care Water regularly for the first two years, especially in a dry autumn before winter. Mulch the soil and feed with a conifer fertiliser in spring; little pruning is needed. Shield a young plant with a cover from winter sun and drying wind in its first winter.
Use This dwarf cypress suits rock gardens, small-garden accents, containers and Japanese-style plantings.
