Advice from our agronomist
Planting Plant in spring or autumn in a sunny spot in compost-rich soil, setting the crown 5–8 cm deeper than in the pot. Place the support 30 cm away.
Watering Water deeply but not too often so the soil stays evenly moist; mulch the root zone.
Pruning Pruning depends on the group: group 3 is cut to 20–30 cm in spring, group 2 lightly after the first flush.
Feeding and winter care From spring to summer feed every 3–4 weeks with a flowering-plant fertiliser. In autumn cover the base with spruce branches or mulch; young plants need winter protection.
