Advice from our agronomist

Light and position Leaf colour is best in a bright spot with morning or evening sun; midday sun scorches. Plant outdoors only after the last frosts.

Watering Keep the soil evenly moist but not wet; water when the top layer begins to dry. It wilts quickly when dry but recovers after watering.

Humidity and care Pinch the shoot tips and remove flower buds to keep the plant bushy and the leaves colourful. Dry air invites aphids and spider mites.

Feeding and repotting Feed every two weeks in the growing season with a foliage or bedding-plant fertiliser. In autumn take cuttings and overwinter them in a bright, warm room.
