Tietoa tuotteesta
Tatarian dogwood (Cornus alba) "Aurea" is a shrub with golden-yellow foliage that brightens the garden even on cloudy days and contrasts beautifully with a dark background.
The shrub grows 2–2.5 m tall and equally wide. In spring and summer the leaves are golden yellow and turn orange in autumn; in winter the reddish stems decorate the garden, and in May–June the plant bears creamy-white flower clusters.
The cultivar is very hardy (down to about −29 °C) and easy to grow. It thrives in moist soil and suits hedges, group plantings and pond edges; in part shade the leaves look best and do not scorch.

Agronomin neuvot
Planting. Plant in spring or autumn in part shade or sun; with good light the foliage is at its most golden. Add compost to the planting hole and space shrubs 1.5–2 m apart.
Care. Weed and mulch the soil with bark. Young stems colour best, so renew the shrub regularly.
Watering and feeding. Water regularly, especially in the first years and in hot weather, as the soil must not dry out. Feed in spring with a balanced fertiliser or compost.
Winter and pruning. Fully hardy, no winter cover needed. In spring before leaf break remove a third of the older stems at the base, or cut the whole shrub down to 20–30 cm.
