Tatarian dogwood Cornus alba Elegantissima is a wide, upright shrub with grey-green leaves edged in broad white, shining especially in part shade. Red young stems add winter colour, so a dogwood Elegantissima is an easy, hardy choice for a hedge or mixed border.
It suits hedges, shrub groups and pond edges, grows in sun or part shade, tolerates moist soil and is very frost hardy. Cut some old stems low in spring to renew the plant; fresh shoots give the strongest winter colour. Plant supplied in a 20 cm pot.

Agronoma ieteikumi
Planting Plant in spring or autumn in sun or light shade, in fertile, well-drained soil. Dig a hole about twice as wide as the root ball, set the plant at the same depth as in the pot and water well.
Care Water regularly in the first season, later only in long dry spells. Mulch the root zone with bark or leaf compost and in spring remove frost-damaged, old and crowded shoots.
Use Hedge, shrub group, moist sites, winter stem colour and a bright accent in part shade.
