Advice from our agronomist
Light and position Needs at least 6 hours of direct sun a day (south window) or a grow lamp; without enough light the plant weakens.
Watering Water only with distilled, rain or reverse-osmosis water; tap, bottled and filtered water contain too many salts. Stand the pot in 1–2 cm of water so the soil stays constantly wet.
Humidity and care Do not fertilise. If you feed it, offer only live insects, never meat. Do not tease the traps needlessly – each closing costs the plant energy.
Feeding and repotting Use a mix of peat, perlite and sand without fertiliser. From November to March the plant needs a 3–5 month dormancy in a cool (2–10 °C), bright place with reduced watering.
