Cucumber "Dirigent F1", 10 seeds, Baltic Agro
Seller: ALLIKASILM
About this product
Cucumber “Dirigent” F1 (Cucumis sativus) is an early, productive short-fruited hybrid. The plant is self-fertile (parthenocarpic), so it sets fruit without insects. The fruits are free of bitterness, smooth-skinned and firm, with a small seed cavity.
It resists mosaic virus and powdery mildew and does well both outdoors and under glass. The first fruits are ready about 55 days after sowing. Use them for salting, pickling and fermenting, or eat them fresh. Being warmth-loving, it dislikes cold nights.
The pack contains 10 seeds, made by Baltic Agro.

Advice from our agronomist
Sow into warmth. Sow under glass in early May and outdoors in late May or early June once the soil is warm. Set each seed 2 cm deep and keep the bed under fleece for the first weeks.
Keep nights warm. Cucumbers suffer when night temperatures drop below +10 °C. On cool evenings, close greenhouse doors and vents early.
Pick them short. For salting and fermenting, harvest cucumbers at 8–10 cm. Regular picking and steady watering keep the plants cropping all summer.
