Advice from our agronomist
Sowing Sow seeds from late February to March on the soil surface, pressing them in lightly without covering — the seeds need light to germinate. Keep at 18–22 °C and moist; seedlings emerge in 2–4 weeks. Plant out after the last frosts, 25–30 cm apart.
Care Water regularly and keep the soil lightly moist; feed monthly with a berry fertiliser. Remove surplus runners unless you want to propagate. Also grows well in partial shade.
Harvest Berries ripen from June to October; pick regularly when fully ripe. Alpine strawberry bears small, very aromatic berries continuously.
