Advice from our agronomist
Planting Plant in spring in a sunny spot in well-drained soil; it dislikes winter wet. Space plants 50–60 cm apart.
Watering Water regularly in the first year; later drought tolerant.
Pruning Cut old stems low in spring; deadhead faded flowers in summer.
Feeding and winter care Feed sparingly – too much food reduces flowering. Cover a young plant for winter with dry leaves or spruce boughs. Hardiness is borderline – always cover a young plant.
