Advice from our agronomist
Planting. Plant the cloves from the second half of September to early October in a sunny, well-drained, fertile spot, pointed end up, about 5–8 cm deep and 10–15 cm apart.
Care. Keep the bed weed-free and water in a dry spring. The planting may be lightly mulched for winter.
Harvest. Winter garlic is ready the following summer, usually in late July – August, when the lower leaves turn yellow.
