Tomato “Gigantomo” F1 (Solanum lycopersicum) is a mid-early, tall and heavy-cropping beefsteak hybrid. Its red, meaty, glossy fruits can reach a record-breaking 1 kg and have excellent flavour and aroma.
Fruits ripen 75–80 days after planting out. Sow indoors in March–April and grow under glass at 90 × 40 cm, giving each plant a firm support. Harvest runs from July to September. For giant fruits, limit the number left on each plant.

Advice from our agronomist
Sow each seed separately. With only ten seeds in the pack, sow them singly in small pots about 1 cm deep and keep them warm. Give the seedlings plenty of light so they do not become leggy.
Thin the fruit. Train the plant as a single stem and leave just 2–3 fruits on each truss. This lets the plant put all its energy into large tomatoes.
Support the trusses. Kilogram fruits can snap a truss, so tie them to a string or net. Feed with a potassium-rich fertiliser and water regularly.
