Advice from our agronomist
Sow in March. This hybrid needs a long start, so sow indoors in mid-March and prick out the seedlings when the first true leaf appears.
Choose the site by the weather. Plant into the greenhouse in mid-May, but outdoors only in early June once the frosts are over. Outside, pick a sunny, sheltered bed against a south-facing wall.
Tie in and side-shoot. Grow on one or two stems, tie to a support and remove side shoots. Stop the leading shoot in early August so the last trusses ripen before the cold.
