Seller: ALLIKASILM
About this product
Aubergine “Green Knight” F1 (Solanum melongena) is an early, productive and disease-resistant hybrid. Its cylindrical fruits are 17–20 cm long with pale green skin. The white flesh is firm, never bitter and delicately sweet.
The compact, ornamental plant grows to about 75 cm, so it suits the greenhouse as well as pots on a balcony. Sow indoors in February or March; the harvest runs from July to September. The fruit is ideal for frying, grilling and Asian dishes.
The pack contains 10 seeds, made by Žalia stotelė.

Advice from our agronomist
Start early. Aubergines develop slowly, so sow in February or March and keep at about +25 °C until germination. Seedlings need plenty of light, otherwise they grow leggy.
Plant somewhere warm. Move the plants into the greenhouse or a large pot in May or June, once nights are mild. On a balcony use a container of at least 10 litres with good drainage.
Water evenly. Keep the compost moist but never soggy, and feed while the fruits are swelling. Pick them while the skin is still glossy, before the seeds harden.
