About this product
Daylilies (Hemerocallis) are among the easiest and most showy perennials. Buy them in Estonia from the ALLIKASILM nursery in assorted varieties; the exact variety and colour are confirmed at purchase.
Each flower lasts a single day, but buds open in succession, so plants bloom from June to August. Colours range from yellow and orange to red and lilac.
Plants usually grow 60–90 cm tall, are very hardy (USDA zone 3) and tolerate drought once established.

Advice from our agronomist
Planting. Plant in sun or light shade, 40–60 cm apart, with the crown 1–2 cm below the soil surface.
Watering and feeding. Water after planting and during dry spells. Feed in spring with compost or a general fertiliser.
Care. Remove spent flowers and, after flowering, the flower stalks. Divide congested clumps every 4–5 years.
Gardener's tip. The more sun, the more flowers; dark-flowered varieties keep their colour better in light shade.
