About this product
Hosta "Jurassic Park" is a large foliage perennial with huge blue-green, deeply puckered leaves. It forms a mighty clump about 60–70 cm tall and 90–120 cm wide, with lavender bell-shaped flowers in summer.
The leaves are thick and corrugated, so slugs damage them less than thin-leaved cultivars. The cultivar contrasts well with light green and yellow hostas and fills shady beds with bold foliage.
Use it in shady and part-shady beds, under trees, beside water and in large containers. A plant from a 9 cm pot needs a few years to reach full size.

Advice from our agronomist
Planting. Plant in spring or early autumn in part shade to shade in humus-rich soil. Dig a hole twice as wide as the pot and mix compost into the soil; keep the crown level with the ground. Space plants 70–90 cm apart.
Care. Mulch with leaf mould or bark to hold moisture and suppress weeds. Protect young leaves from slugs (slug control, hand picking).
Watering and feeding. Water regularly, especially in dry spells: the soil should be moist, not soggy. Feed in spring with a balanced fertiliser or compost and stop after the end of July.
Winter care and pruning. Fully hardy. Cut back faded leaves in autumn or early spring. Divide and replant every 4–6 years in spring.
