Hydrogel for garden, balcony and indoor plants, 10 g, Baltic Agro
Seller: ALLIKASILM
About this product
Hydrogel granules absorb water and release it back to the roots as the soil dries. Mixed into the growing medium before planting, they keep moisture even and save the plant from drying out.
Suitable for houseplants, balcony boxes and hanging baskets, greenhouses and beds. Especially useful in sandy or bark-based substrates and in summer heat, when a pot dries within a day.
Packet of 10 g by Baltic Agro — enough for roughly 11–34 litres of growing medium, depending on how thirsty the plant is.

Advice from our agronomist
How to use. Mix the granules into dry soil before planting so they spread through the whole root zone. Water well after planting — the granules must take up water before they start working.
How much. Less is safer than more. An overdose swells out of the pot and keeps roots permanently wet. Use the upper rate for porous substrates (sand, bark, gravel) and the lower one for ordinary potting soil.
Watering. Soil with hydrogel dries more slowly — water less often rather than using less water. Check with a finger first: if the top centimetre is dry but it is moist below, wait.
What to expect. The gel replaces neither fertiliser nor growing medium; it only holds water. In a perennial's pot it works for several years — mix in a fresh dose when you repot.
