Advice from our agronomist

Planting Plant in a semi-shaded spot (with shade in the hot part of the day) in fertile, moisture-retentive soil; dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball and set the plant at the same depth as in the pot.

Watering Water regularly and generously, especially in hot weather and in the first two years; the soil should stay evenly moist. Mulch the root zone.

Pruning Cut the plant back hard in early spring to about 20–30 cm above the ground; flowers form on new growth. Old bushes are rejuvenated by hard pruning.

Feeding and winter care Feed in spring and early summer with a hydrangea fertiliser; do not feed after July. Flowers in June–September; height 100–120 cm. The plant is fully hardy – no winter protection is needed.
