Advice from our agronomist
Planting Plant in a warm, wind-sheltered sunny or semi-shaded spot in well-drained, humus-rich, slightly acidic soil.
Watering Water regularly, especially in the first years; the plant tolerates moderate drought but not waterlogging. Mulch the root zone.
Pruning Flowers form on last year’s shoots – prune lightly after flowering; remove only dead and frost-damaged branches.
Feeding and winter care Feed in spring with a hydrangea fertiliser; do not feed after July. Flowers in June–July; height 90–120 cm. Cover the crown of a young plant with mulch and spruce branches; older plants usually overwinter well in Estonia.
