Advice from our agronomist
Planting Plant in a semi-shaded or shaded place in fertile, moisture-retentive soil; set it 30–40 cm from the support and guide the shoots towards it.
Watering Water regularly in the first years; it grows slowly for the first two years and quickly afterwards. Mulch the root zone.
Pruning Prune after flowering if needed to keep the desired shape; hard pruning is only needed for old plants.
Feeding and winter care Feed in spring with a hydrangea fertiliser. Flowers in June–July; height 900–1500 cm. The plant is hardy; a mulch layer is enough for a young plant in its first winter.
