Advice from our agronomist
Planting Plant in spring or autumn in a sunny spot in dry, well-drained soil; wet soil is unsuitable. Space plants 25–30 cm apart.
Watering Water in the first year; later the plant is drought tolerant.
Pruning Cut back by a third to a half after flowering to keep the shape compact and encourage fresh growth.
Feeding and winter care Feed in spring with compost or a slow-release fertiliser. Evergreen and hardy; cover with spruce branches in a snowless winter.
