Common juniper "Gold Cone" (Juniperus communis) is a narrow, columnar cultivar with golden-yellow foliage: new growth is bright gold in full sun and fades to yellow-green in summer.
The plant reaches about 1.25–1.5 m tall and 50–60 cm wide, making it a great vertical accent, a colourful low hedge or a companion for other conifers. Buy juniper Gold Cone in Estonia at ALLIKASILM.

Agronomin neuvot
Planting. Choose a sunny spot because the golden colour fades in shade. Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball and set the root collar level with the soil; on heavy clay mix in sand.
Care. Care is minimal: in the first season mulch the root zone with 5 cm of bark. Pruning is rarely needed; trim the shape lightly in spring if required.
Watering and feeding. In the first year water weekly in dry weather, afterwards rainfall is usually enough. Apply a conifer fertiliser in spring; the plant dislikes waterlogged soil.
Winter care. The cultivar is hardy; mulch young plants for the first winter and, if heavy wet snow is expected, loosely tie the column with a soft band so the branches do not splay.
