About this product
Juniperus x media "Gold Star" (juniper, synonym Juniperus x pfitzeriana 'Gold Star') is a low spreading conifer with soft golden-yellow foliage. It works well on slopes, in rock gardens and as ground cover.
At maturity it reaches about 0.8-1 m in height and 1.5-2 m in width. The golden colour is best in full sun and the cultivar is hardy (USDA 4-9).
Juniper is undemanding and tolerant of urban conditions. Use it alone, in groups or in a container on a terrace.

Advice from our agronomist
Planting. Plant in spring or autumn in a sunny, well-drained spot. Make the hole twice the width of the root ball and space plants 1.2-1.5 m apart.
Care. No pruning is required; remove dead branches if desired. Bark or gravel mulch keeps weeds down.
Watering and feeding. Water regularly in the first year, later only in dry spells. Feed in spring with a conifer fertiliser.
Winter care. It generally overwinters in Estonia without cover. Protect young plants with spruce branches in the first winter and shake off heavy snow.
