Root barrier, 0,65 × 3,5 m, Baltic Agro
Seller: ALLIKASILM
About this product
Root barrier — a rigid two-layer material, laminated on one side, buried in the soil to stop running roots. Once installed, the strip holds back what would otherwise show up across half the garden in two years.
The barrier is for the plants that spread by root: raspberry, rugosa rose, lilac, ninebark, Jerusalem artichoke, mint, iris. The material does not rot, withstands soil acids and alkalis and lasts 5-6 years depending on the site.
Size 0,65 × 3,5 m, that is 2,275 m². Made by Baltic Agro, produced in the Czech Republic.

Advice from our agronomist
Bury it deep enough. The top edge should stand 2-3 cm above the soil: a runner simply climbs over an edge left buried.
Close the ring. Overlap the ends of the strip by at least 10 cm — an open joint is an open gate for a root.
Check once a year. Look the edge over in autumn: if soil has washed over it anywhere, clear that spot.
